The Darknet Silk Road of 2022

Due to the current economic situation, many darknet vendors are forced to lower prices – an opportunity for buyers much like back over 10 years ago when the original Silk Road Market place launched.

It has been 11 years since the original Silk Road Marketplace has appeared on the darknet. In the next two and a half year it became the most successful darknet market of its time until the owner, Ross Ulbricht, a.k.a. “Dread Pirate Roberts” was arrested by the FBI. Since then a lot has changed: Hundreds if not thousands of of new marketplaces have popped up and disappeared again. By now there is an almost an overwhelming amount of dark web marketplaces, many of them are specialized on specific products.

While the market landscape has definitely changed in the last 10 years, other aspects are eerily similar: When the original Silk Road website launched, there was a rush on the site. The initial prices of the products were low to attract as many new customers as possible. And exactly this aspect is coming back now.

Some may ask how this is possible when the world economy is in recession and recently basically all crypto currencies lost immensely in value. The answer is really simple: Vendors rely more on their darknet sales that buyers rely on the products being available. In other words, buyers simply stay away from the markets leaving the vendors dry.

For vendors that is the worst case scenario because they lose their source of income. And for that reason, many vendors and even entire marketplaces have begun lowering prices for many products; buyers can currently make better bargains on darknet drug purchases than ever before.

We have monitored a number of darknet marketplaces as well as vendor shops and card shops over the last year and are presenting a selection of sites where the prices have dropped the most.

Silk Road Marketplaces

For generic darknet market places, the currently cheapest markets are Darkfox Market and Vice City Market. On average Darkfox has reduced their prices by 26% over the last year while Vice City has cut their prices by 22%. This is specifically true for the products in the drug category (especially Cannabis and MDMA) but also some other product categories.

It should be noted though that this is not true for all products since it depends on the vendor: On generic marketplaces like Darkfox or Vice City a large number of different vendors offer their products. Not all of them may have lowered prices (some are mostly inactive and are just using the same listings they had a year ago). For this reason we advice that you compare the prices on Darkfox and Vice City to find the cheapest possible offer and you can save up to 25% compared to a year ago.

Vendor Shops

Regarding vendor shops we noticed that most drug related vendors have lowered their prices by at least 10% in the last year but for shops that specialize on Cannabis the average price cut is 16%. But three vendors stand out especially: SmokersCo Cannabis Shop who has lowered prices by a whooping 31%, HeinekenExpress whose products now sell for 27% less than a year ago and The Grass Company that cut prices by 25%.

Again, to get the cheapest possible offer we recommend that you compare the prices on these three sites since many products overlap. Card Shops

In contrast to marketplaces and vendor shops, most card shops have not changed their prices much. This may be due to the fact that the demand for credit cards has not really changed – it may have even increased since many people are struggling for money. However, some card shops seem to use this to their advantage: We noticed that Valid Dumps and CVV Union have both decreased their prices by over 10 percent while most other card shops either had no price change or only a minimal one of 2 to 4 percent.

In summary, if you are looking for darknet products, especially from the drug category, now is the time to buy as it is most likely that prices will increase again in the future.
