The head of a cocaine trafficking ring operating out of Palm Beach County has been given a 16-year jail term, according to the Miami office of the U.S. Attorney.

At a hearing before U.S. District Judge Donald M. Middlebrooks, Anthony Peck, 29, of Boca Raton, was given the sentence. He previously entered a guilty plea to one count of conspiring to have heroin, methamphetamine, and fentanyl in his possession with the intent to distribute them.

According to federal authorities, Peck and two other residents of Palm Beach County conspired to sell drugs on multiple dark web marketplaces.

On November 4, U.S. District Judge Robin L. Rosenberg sentenced West Palm Beach resident Kevin Fusco, 34, to 11 years in prison for crimes that were similar to his. The punishment for Vincent Banner, 31, of Boynton Beach, who admitted guilt to one count of conspiracy, will be handed down in February.

Using the vendor identity “Syntropy,” Peck delivered drugs from multiple dark web markets between May 2021 and May of this year, according to prosecution documents.

Peck, Fusco, and Banner used the United States Postal Service to send packages containing fentanyl, heroin, and methamphetamine to places around the nation once the cryptocurrency transactions were completed.

Federal prosecutors identified Peck as the operation’s chief when they announced the sentencing on Thursday. They claimed that he bought drugs in bulk, promoted them using the Syntropy vendor profile, planned their delivery, and took money from customers.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, he had a list of more than 6,000 clients spread out over the country.

Agents of the law reportedly found kilogram amounts of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, and heroin in West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, and New York City storage facilities.
