Austrian authorities arrested a 28-year-old man from Weiz on Thursday morning. The man imported, produced and sold narcotic drugs and related paraphernalia on various darknet market sites such as Kingdom Market and Vice City.

The Gleisdorf Narcotics Group got on the man’s trail due to drug overconsumption and an associated loss of consciousness. In the apartment, they also found instructions for the production of narcotic drugs. The public prosecutor’s office in Graz then ordered a house search. The detectives seized cell phones and data carriers. The analysis of these seized data carriers underscored the suspicion of illegal production and distribution of psychoactive substances.

Investigations did not deter the perpetrator

Already knowing that the police were investigating him, he continued to order illegal substances from the Darknet. While buyers usually do not carry much risk when purchasing substances on the darknet, it seems obvious that it is not wise to do so when the police is already investigating. The public prosecutor’s office in Graz then ordered his arrest. When this was carried out, the criminologists again seized various prohibited substances. The man from Weiz is now being held in the Graz-Jakomini prison.
